In the decade since its creation, the Eduardo Barreiros Foundation has produced an important body of editorial work that can be divided into two trends. On the one hand, it has sponsored research projects that study and disseminate the saga of Eduardo Barreiros and his companies, especially Barreiros Diesel, S. A. On the other hand, the intensive and extensive work undertaken by the Foundation in recent years to support research in the academic and professional fields has resulted in specialized publications containing the papers submitted to our international conferences and other events.
We must also mention the documentaries that have been made about Eduardo Barreiros’ life and career. Barreiros Diesel always put great emphasis on audiovisual media, and produced several documentaries that went beyond the technical aspects of the automotive industry in order to reach the general public. With the same modern and innovative spirit, the Foundation continues to support films and documentaries about Eduardo Barreiros’ life and professional activities

This book is a photo essay about the life of Eduardo Barreiros, his family and the history of the Barreiros factory. It contains a revealing selection of photos and precise texts about Eduardo Barreiros’ work, which present, in the words of Magda Salarich, CEO and managing director of Citroën Spain, "a view of the voyage of this Spaniard who possessed a vision of the future as well as of contemporary Spanish history.”
The book was presented at the event celebrating the "50th anniversary of the opening of the Villaverde factory” (June 6, 2002). Alberto Ruiz Gallardón, President of the Community of Madrid, attended the event.

As part of the First International Conference on the Automotive Sector, held in Madrid in November 2000, the Eduardo Barreiros Foundation organized an exhibition on the automobile in the 20th century Spanish painting at the Carlos de Antwerp Foundation. Repsol YP sponsored the two-volume catalog. The first volume, with a foreword written by José Saramago, includes a series of essays about the influence of the car on various artistic fields. Among the authors who offer their views on the subject are Jaime Brihuega and Juan Manuel Bonet. The second volume catalogues the paintings that were exhibited.
