3rd INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON AUTOMOTION AND URBANISM: EUROPE: THE IDEAL CITY
Madrid, October 26 to 28, 2004. MAPFRE Auditorium

The Eduardo Barreiros Foundation and MAPFRE celebrated their Third International Conference on The Automotion and Urbanism. Europe: The Ideal City. The focus of this conference was the relationship between the automobile and the city and how to improve the quality of urban life. This multidisciplinary meeting included lectures and round tables on topics such as the legacy of 19th century cities; the city and the automobile as subjects for artists; the historical development of cities, and their present and future role; city politics; the psychological behaviour of city drivers; and how urban planning and architecture affect city dwellers
